Softail Standard FXST | ST1
As standard, the Harley-Davidson Softail Standard ST1 is delivered with a progressive spring on the shock absorber that is clearly too tight. This means that the second, significantly harder spring rate is reached far too early. In combination with the factory over-damping, every impact is passed on unfiltered to the rider's back.
The Wilbers conversion relies on a linear spring rate and an optimized setting, which results in a significant increase in comfort and a more stable, safer ride.
We have also sensibly optimized the negative spring travel on the fork to enable perfect compression.
The seat height remains the same as the standard chassis thanks to the Wilbers conversion.
